How to Wear a Pencil Skirt

One of the best trends of the season is the Pencil Skirt. I don't know why this skirt goes "out" of style - it's a classic piece that should never be forgotten. {Can you tell I'm serious about my pencil skirts??}

First option up is the Elegant Pencil. Using pastel colors as the foundation of the look, it is great for the office or for dinner out. The peplum top has both texture and structure that adds depth to the silhouette. Adding chic and classic pearls and suede nude pumps brings it all together.

Secondly, Animal Print. I love Animal Print. LOVE it. Using animal print in your office wear can add a little pep in your step - Anytime I wear animal print, I feel a bit more sassy than usual... What about you?? Keeping the jewelry understated is the key - let the top and shoes stand out!

Number 3: Did you know you could wear a pencil skirt casually?? You can!

A white tank top with a cardigan is a casual enough to feel comfy, but looks together enough for either lunch or running around town. The flats and nude bag are simple, but have a subtle embellishment to add texture.

Happy Holidays! The Holiday season is coming faster than we think. Here is {yet, another!} peplum top in a vibrant red. Using a green belt WITH a bow {of course!} and green clutch keep it "Christmas-y" without having to wear one of the hideous Christmas themed sweaters or dresses. Black pumps and gold jewelry complete the look!

This should have been before the Holiday Pencil, but oh well! {Shout out to my Clemmy girl - Lizanne!!!! Love, love, LOVE you!}

I love the look of a fitted pencil skirt with turtle neck sweater. Adding boots and a scarf keeps you warm. The use of a scarf negates the need for necklaces or bracelets - so just using fun earrings is perfect.

How would you wear a pencil skirt??
